
Greg Stanback, Miramar HS
Greg is an Education major who graduated from Slippery Rock University and has coached and taught Physical Education in Broward County for 9 years. He was the head coach of the Lady Patriots. He took his high school success and became the head assistant coach at Florida Memorial University in 2007. Greg recently created Stanback Athletic Consultants Inc. His company works in individual basketball instruction and consultation on group clinics, tournaments, and practice management. Greg has experience in the camp setting, having worked Pat Summit’s Tennessee Volunteer Camp, the prestigious 5-Star Basketball Camp, and the Miami Heat/Sol camp. Coach Stanback led the Lady Patriots to 3 regional tournament games and 2 district titles in 3 years. Greg has recruited one of the classes in Florida Memorial history.
Scott Selvidge, Cypress Bay HS
Scott graduated from the University of Florida with an education degree. He is now a National Board Certified Teacher in Social Studies. Coach Selvidge has help build the boys and girls basketball grograms to county powerhouses. As an assistant boy’s basketball coach he helped win a district title in 2006. In the 2007-08 season he took over the girls basketball team for his second term. They recorded a 21-1 record and earned the first district title in school history. He had another successful year in 2009 with a 15-6 record. Scott was the 2008-09 Teacher of the Year at Cypress Bay HS.
Scott Feldman, Griffin Elementary/Cypress Bay HS
Scott is an Education major who graduated from Cooper City HS and went on to play 4 years of college basketball at Wilmington College (Ohio). He has been an elementary school teacher in Broward County for 15 years and a basketball coach for 8 years. Scott is an asset to our staff, providing the knowledge and warmth needed to have young children develop in an exciting atmosphere. Scott has coached the JV to a 108-19 record over the last 6 years. The JV team had a 15-5 record this year.
Cecil Avant
Coach Avant Graduated from Cypress Bay H.S. in 2005. He was a second team All-County selection and earned a scholarship to play at Division I, Florida Gulf Coast University. He currently is finishing his Bachelor’s degree and has created the Next Level Ready Program. Cecil has combined great communication skills and a large basketball IQ into his program. He tutors young players in every aspect of the game. Coach Avant is continues to provide valuable one on one lessons to many local players.
Tishana Edwards
Tishana was an All-State player at Franklin H.S. in New Jersey. She received a scholarship to play for Fairleigh Dickinson University. Tishana has worked at the Pocono Invitational, Paul Musser Camp, and Rutgers Basketball Camp. She is a National Board Certified Elementary Teacher.
